HP Spectre x360 13.5 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ef0000 (3Y838AV)

Hello, I have exactly the same issue with my touchpad (HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 Laptop 14-ef0000sa (6T9Q4EA)) as the one described under the thread Re: HP Spectre Touchpad & Mouse Issues - HP Support Community - 9354728, I have tried the proposed fixes but without much success. Could you please advise.
