Spectre X360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have HP Spectre X360, Serial No: [edit]with Windows10 64bit installed. The problem is that at first it was not showing the graphics card that is actually present in it but auto installed, "Intel Standard Graphics". I continued to search on the internetDriver1.jpg for the model of the graphics card and found that it has "Intel HD 5500". So I downloaded and installed the driver. Now it shows 1920x1080 in display settings but I can feel that something is missing. Online tests show 1280x720 and the screen itself speaks that the actual resolution and quality is not up to 1920x1080. I have also read that this laptop has an additional dedicated graphics card like Nivida etc... Can you tell me that which model is it and what driver I need to download to make full use of the graphics quality this laptop can offer? I am sure that with that much price, this laptop might not be offering so bad graphics result. Please help, Shall be thankful.

@KhanWaqas,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the computer was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?

While you respond that, I recommend you install the graphics driver for your computer from the below link.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp85001-85500/sp85248.exe

Also, I recommend you install HP support assistant and it will automatically download and install all the latest drivers available for your computer.

You can download HP support assistant from the below link.

Here how you need to install the update using HP support assistant.

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

  6. Perform any other update management actions as needed.

    • Postpone an update: Click Remind me, and then select a time preference.

    • Delete an available update: Click the Delete icon  to remove the update from the list and record it in the action log.

    • Review updates status: Click Action log below the list to view installed, postponed, or deleted updates.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
