HP Recommended

Notebook is a HP Spectre x360 - 15-df1033dx.  The HDMI port will not detect a 2k monitor or HD TV even after the display properties are set to 1920 x 1080.  It does however detect and display on a 4K capable TV. 

 

Your advise is much welcomed.

It has  1 HDMI 2.0b port. That should work automatically. How do you connect them ?  I don't think do to the HDMI cable, but please try lower specs HDMI cable for example HDMI 1.4 cable
