Hi, I accidentally damaged the screen, the outer layer of the screen is broken and touch doesn't work anymore. the inside layer of display looks to be good.

Do I need to replace only the outer layer (could be touch layer right?) to get the touch working again?

or do I need to change the whole display to get the touch work again? thanks

Hi,

Usually the whole display assembly comes as one part and really expensive.

Example

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=L37648-001&_sacat=0

You can find third parties whom sell the LCD panel /touch digitizer as a part

Service manual page 21

Hope it helps,

David
