Hi,
I bought my laptop (HP Spectre x360 13") back in 2019 and have been using it with an external monitor for a few years now.
The way I connect an hdmi cable to my laptop is via a usb-c to hdmi converter as this laptop does not have a built in hdmi port.
Recently the laptop has stopped connecting to the external monitor. When i plug in the usb converter the laptop screen flickers and nothing appears on my external monitor,
I've checked my cables and they work fine on other devices and i've also checked the usb-c port with the charger and the laptop charges. I dont believe it is a hardware problem I suspect there is a problem with the software but I haven't changed anything or installed any updates.
Has anybody else got/had a similar problem?

Hi @ravs127
Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.
From what I have understood, you are facing issues with the external monitor because the USB port of the system and the cable works perfectly fine. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.
May I know from when are you facing this issue?
Did you make any hardware or software-related changes to it?
Also, may I know which external monitor are you using here?
I would suggest you update the drivers of your system and check the functionality. Here is a link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
