I have a HP Spectre x360 - 13t-ae000 CTO, and I am attempting to hook this up to a DELL S2421H Monitor. The device is recognized as I can see it in my device manager, however I can not actually have it display. The DELL turns on, but says it is receiving no HDMI signal. I have this connected via a USB-c to HDMI cable.
I spoke with DELL who said that the cable could be wrong, however when we looked, it states that using a straight cable (as opposed to using an additional adapter) was fine for this monitor.
My drivers and BIOS are updated.
Thank you.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Did you connect it to an external TV to check if it works?
- Did you try multiple HDMI cables?
For now please try these steps:
- Right-Click on the start button> click device manager> expand display adapters>then select the display drivers that are listed and right-click on it and uninstall the drivers.
- Check the box that states delete the software for this device.
- Then restart the computer and update the bios chipset and graphic drivers from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers after selecting the correct Operating system.
If it still does not fix the issue, please perform the relevant steps for HDMI related issues from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-m7-u100-notebook-pc/10862139/model/11715534/document/c0... regarding video issues. If there is no hardware issue with the computer, this should do the trick for you.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
