HP Spectre x360 15-ap012dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently I've been having trouble using my HP Active Stylus on my HP Spectre x360 15-ap012dx 2-in-1 laptop. I originally had a pen with the HP Product Number 797838-001 that stopped registering on the laptop after a few weeks; I have since deduced that this is due to a hardware issue on the pen, as the hardware on the inside of the tip of the pen was broken due to overuse. I replaced this with a pen with the HP Product Number 797838-002. I tested this replacement and it seemed to work a few days ago, but now the screen won't register the pen at all. The touchscreen still registers my touch, so I don't believe that this is an issue with the touchscreen itself. I have tried installing drivers for the BIOS, the HP Button, and the UHD and FHD drivers for the firmware. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Human Interface Devices pen driver and touchscreen driver, and I have even reset my PC while retaining my files. I tested the current on the AAAA battery and this indicates that the current is about -1.02 V, which I believe should be sufficient to power the pen. I would like to see if this issue can be resolved without me having to buy another pen. Is there any other fixes that I can apply to help my laptop recognize the pen?
