HP Spectre x360 Laptop - 15-eb0053dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm experiencing an issue with the touchpad on my HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-eb0xxx where the left side of the touchpad is popping up out of the case of the computer. I purchased this computer in July of 2020, and it was quite expensive so I feel like this should not be happening after less than 3 years.

Hi:

Looking at the pictures you posted, it seems to me like the battery is beginning to swell to a point where it is stressing out the parts.

I recommend that you remove the battery and purchase a new one to prevent further deformation of your notebook.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the battery removal and replacement procedure.

I have read that some of the causes of battery swelling is when someone leaves the notebook plugged in to A/C power almost all the time with the battery in a constant 100% charge state.
