I am having display issues that usually arise when using the laptop for longer than an hour or so. The screen flickers as shown in the picture below. This issue started about a year ago and seemed to go away when I updated BIOS and graphics drivers. However the issue came back a few months ago (persists on windows 10 and 11). I am assuming at this point that I will need to take the laptop somewhere to have someone look at it but wasn't sure if anyone else has experienced this/has a permanent solution. The screen works perfectly fine (for hours on end) when I have it plugged into an external monitor. But as soon as I unplug, the laptop screen flickers and is useless.

Hi @Jason222, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Apologies for all the inconvenience

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue, and in order to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now,

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest youContact HPin your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
