HP Spectre x360 - 15-ch055na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Over the past few months the colours on the screen started to deteriorate, for example the green in Excel became pale and other colours also. Then white vertical lines started to appear, and ghost patches. In the last weeks a flickering issue has developed to the point that the screen is unusable. All drivers and software are updated to current including Windows, Radeon and Intel.

When a second sceen is connected by HDMI it is absolutely perfect; no flicker, no colour issue. What are HP going to do about these issues with Spectre screens? I see there are just thousands of comments about these problems. I am looking for a response from a human since HP have made it virtually impossible to contact Customer Support unless by sending a Registered Letter to their Registered Office. Which may indeed be the next move.

@LastMango If the second monitor has a perfect display when connected to the HP Spectre and it's internal display flickers, you and I both know that the issue is with the notebook display and the only way to fix it, is to have the display assembly replaced, you've got two options, if the device is under warranty, there would be no charges to have it repaired:

And If you have an HP authorized service center near by, you should be able to take it to them and have it checked,

Here is a link to HP Service Centers, by Country/Region: Click here

However, if the device is no longer covered by an HP warranty, you may order the replacement parts on the HP Parts Store, If you've already looked for it and couldn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as Amazon or eBay, etc...as the part numbers are universal.

I have the same problem!  I have had my machine a little over one year (out of warranty now).

It started clickering but on and off.  Now it almost always flickers and occasionally works.  I now hae to carry a 24 inch monitor around with me.  Not exactly portable.

I have done all the upgrades - HP and Intel drivers.  nothing works on the flicker.

I also hae an issue with images not showing up on powerpoint slides.  I am teaching online, so this is unprofessional.

I have had Lenovos Thinkpads for about ten years.  They discontinued the Yoga 15 (I need 15 inch, full keyboard and touch screen for teaching).  Spectre seemed perfect.  but it is not reliable and runs so hot it melted off the rubber feet!

I would like to get another 2 years of use out of this marchine.   These are not disposables!
