Man! please keep me/us posted what the answer is. This is wrong!

Hi Erchomai,

I finally had a chance to test your theory. I disabled both wife and bluetooth and no luck. I had the flickering after a shutdown restart. I had to restart multiple times for the flickering to finally stop.

I'm very disappointed w/ HP that they are not recognizing this is an issue with this laptop. I continue to see more and more people posting all over the web in forums about this. I've seen where people have paid for the repair and after awhile, the flickering comes back. This is unacceptable for what I paid for this laptop.[edit] But, we'll see.,

Thanks for trying to help!

Mine has been sent off and repaired twice in two years, it always starts with vertical burn-in and progresses to the extreme flickering! At this time the burn-in has begun again and I am just waiting for the flickering to start! I think it's about time for HP to admit there is a problem with these notebooks that cannot be successfully repaired for the long term use of the product! Any suggestions? I would love to hear your recommendations!

Hi, I'm having a very similar issue with my HP SPECTRE x360.  It mostly starts flickering when I turn on my computer (like vidoe #1) and it seems to happen randomly.  I connect to another monitor via HDMI and there's no issue on the connected screen (but still on the laptop-like video #2).  I also get the burn-in on the screen, especially when it's light on dark (video #3).  I've tried updating the display drivers and changing the screen refresh rate, but it doesn't seem to help.

Hi all, I have a Spectre x360 15t-cl100 with the same issue. Started about 10 days ago. A workaround that makes the computer semi-usable that I found was to change the display refresh rate from 60hz to 40hz. This is not an effective long-term solution, the blurring demonstrated in video 3 of the original post will invade the 40hz realm, too,  but it at least means you can back up your files before you take your computer to the shop.
