Hi,
I have had my HP spectre x360 for a little over a year now and I have noticed that the computer has scratched itself. One of the plastic bumpers that is used to help stop the screen from rubbing into the keyboard on the left side of the laptop is very low compared to the other three. I believe this is why the laptop is scratching itself because there are only marks on the left side of the screen around where that plastic bumper sits.
Are there any solutions to this problem? It is getting somewhat frustrating because I feel like there is nothing I can do about it.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
It sounds like the closing mechanism is perhaps out of alignment.
Causes?
- Possibly a bloated battery that is forcing the case to distend
- Possibly strained hinge assembly
- Could be both hinge assembly and a bloated battery
- Sure - could be something else
The solution is to find the cause of the misalignment and repair the damage.
Battery
If you are comfortable doing so,
If the case can be opened without (further) damaging the hinge assembly,
Open the case and examine the battery.
If the battery is bloated, it must be changed out and replaced.

Hinges
This is outside of my personal purview.
If you think the hinges need repair and you want to tackle the job yourself,
Another Expert might wish to provide guidance.
The how-to is explained in the service manual, of course, along with part numbers.
What else?
If you are convinced the hinge assembly is OK and the battery is not bloated,
If you wish to simply "fix the symptoms",
Try / Consider
Stick a soft "bumper" on the low side to even out the way the case closes and to keep the computer from scratching itself on the left side.
This is not a fix for the actual cause of the problem but it is "something" rather than doing nothing at all.
What else?
If it is all too much and you can't stand it - take the computer to a local repair shop and ask for help.
