Microsoft Windows 11

On start up, everything looks normal and after an amount of time, the mouse would start left clicking at random or set intervals and constantly move to the right in those intervals. Other times, it would just start moving all over the screen and clicking at the same time almost like someone took over the mouse.

I don't really have any ideas what kind of issue this is. Before all of this went south, the touch pad started degrading and would either not respond to finger inputs or would lag behind input or be incredibly slow.

I see that you are facing an issue with your Laptop touchpad malfunctioning.

A) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to run the touchpad and the touchscreen test on your laptop.

(If the test fails there is an issue with the hardware and you can skip the below troubleshooting steps)

If both the test pass, follow the rest of the troubleshooting steps from the above link to troubleshoot further.

B) Refer to the steps on this link to update the BIOS.

Make sure you keep only the charger plugged in while updating the BIOS for your PC.

Click on the + sign next to BIOS and then download the file.

Open the file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

C) Please install all the pending updates for the Windows operating system following the below steps  and let me know if that resolves the issue.

I will also add that it is recently started to do alt+TAB and tried to switch tabs in a similar rapid manor as the clicking and the mouse movements. Another thing I will mention is that it also does occasionally do the odd right click.

Edit: Whenever I try to use the mouse, sometimes the page zooms out or in. I'm now thinking that this isn't a mouse problem but something related to like the hardware or such.
