Thank you I have used this suggestion to install the driver from Intel.

Downloaded Intel support assistant from Intel. It has diagnosed that my display driver version out of date. And I have downloaded and installed from the intel assistant, It has downloaded latest version 31.0.101.5522 released on 12th May 2024 which has fixed this issue.

Downloading 31.0.101.5522 directly from Intel also solved the black screen problem on my laptop today. Hopefully the fix will last...

That’s complete bull… I also had a tech tell me to reinstall windows… Knowing what I know now…I doubt that will work.

As a temp work around I set power settings to shut the PC down when closing the lid (the issue only occurs after sleep).

This is a pain having to start the PC all the time… but we just leave it open unless we won’t need it for a while.

I’ll go to intel today and try to update the graphics driver today… fingers crossed.

Updating the display driver directly from Intel (not HP) worked for me too.

Currently running driver version: 31.0.101.5592
