I'm experiencing an issue with my HP Spectre x360 where the screen does not automatically turn back on after it goes off while the laptop is running on battery power. The keyboard remains responsive, and I can hear audio feedback when using the mouse, which indicates that the system is still running. However, the screen only reactivates when I connect the power cord.
This seems to be a recurring issue based on other user reports, and I hope it can be addressed with an official fix. Any guidance on how to resolve this problem in the meantime would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Ritesh-1137 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're encountering a frustrating issue with your HP Spectre x360. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:
- Update Drivers and BIOS: Ensure that your drivers and BIOS are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues with the operating system, leading to problems like the one you're experiencing.
- Power Settings: Check your power settings in Windows 11 to make sure that there are no settings causing the screen to turn off unexpectedly when on battery power. You can adjust these settings by going to Settings > System > Power & battery.
- Display Settings: Check your display settings to ensure that there are no specific settings causing the screen to turn off after a certain period of inactivity. You can adjust these settings by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting Display settings, and then adjusting the power and sleep settings.
- Reset Power Settings: If adjusting the power settings doesn't resolve the issue, you can try resetting the power settings to their default values. You can do this by going to Settings > System > Power & battery > Additional power settings > Change plan settings > Restore default settings for this plan.
- Check for Windows Updates: Make sure that your system is fully up to date by checking for and installing any available Windows updates.
