Product: HP Spectre x360 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 16-f0000 (39R25AV)

I recently upgraded from the 11th Gen Intel with RTX 3050 to the 12th Gen Intel with Arc A370M. Previous Spectre worked flawlessly, used for 3D modelling and Art (Blender, Inkscape, Krita, GIMP). The tilt pen was ok, but scratched the screen very lightly after a week of use (only visible under certain lights when screen was off but worrying enough for me to return it). 

On this new machine the pen is horrible and doesn't register taps properly, and when drawing the pen's sensitivity is all over the place, and stutters so that it just draws broken lines intermittently. 

 

I'm hoping this is something that I can sort out quickly. The ability to use a pen in tablet mode is the major reason I bought the machine. 


My concern is that the Intel Arc GPU is not handling it well. I've noticed several other issues with the display not operating as smoothly as the previous model.
