HP Tilt Pen
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi. I have  HP Spectre x360 - 15-df0003nc that came with active HP Tilt Pen 929863-001. Downloaded all drivers I could. Pen works in presentation mode, pairs well via BT but is unable to write or draw. Tried in several apps. If I point with top button a small dot appears on the display and I can navigate but thats it. Top button also works for bringing up different apps as is should. It just does not write. The pen should work with this laptop as it came with it and it is supported. I checked.
Seems lot of people is havving the same issue.

Any advice?

Thanks

Welcome to HP forums, And yes, I have a piece of advice! If the pen does not write consistently while your fist or palm is touching the screen, make sure the pen tip is 5mm or farther from the point where your hand is contacting the screen.

If this doesn't help, perhaps, you could draw on an alternate application and check if that works fine if it doesn't, please update the BIOS, Chipset and graphics card drivers using the HP website: Click here

I hope that answers your query,

Thanks for help. Did all you wrote but still no luck. Pen can get paired with laptop, can use every funciton but writing. Does not write in any app even after all the driver updates.....

@ALP_1991

Writing is an important function when it comes to the stylus, and I suggest you check if the pen works on other applications: Click here for alternate options,

Also, I recommend checking the details of the user guide: try the pen upside/down and check if that works too as shown in the below image:

Yes the pen works as eraser and as well in presentation mode. Even when I point it “eraser” side to monitor I can see a little pointer dot on the screen and can open apps or use it as a “finger”. Tried all windows pre installed apps and everything works BUT writing. Tried even replacing the plastic tip of the pen for a spare one. Nothing works....

@ALP_1991 If the eraser works and yet the stylus pen doesn't work, this could be a hardware malfunction and I recommend you get it repaired/replaced, is your device under warranty? if yes, which region are you contacting us from?
