The camera of my HP Pavilion 15-n014ss Notebook PC does not work. I already tried to uninstall the driver from device administrator and update it and non of them fix the problem.

Hi @RadhikaVenkat

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

I see that you are facing camera-related issues on your system. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.

May I know from when are you facing this issue?

Did you make any hardware or software-related changes to it?

Do you get any error messages?

Some laptops have a privacy switch or a camera shutter key that can be used to turn off your webcam and prevent it from being used.

Camera Privacy Switch is located on the right side of the laptop

Camera Shutter Key is located on the keyboard

Please try to press FN+F6 or F10. or try other F key combinations.

Press Start then search command prompt
Right click then run as administrator (note: try to disable translation to see the correct command)
type: msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic
Run the troubleshooter
Restart your PC

Step 1. Give your apps permission
If you recently updated Windows 10, you might need to give apps permission to use the camera. In newer versions of Windows 10, some apps don’t have default access to the camera.
