I have an HP - 15t Laptop PC (dw0xxx) running Windows 10 Home 64 core with an HP TrueVision HD Camera with integrated dual array digital microphone that refuses to record video at all. It takes beautiful pictures, but when I try to record it blips a quick second and stops, reverting back to picture mode as if the video mode doesn't exist. Is there a driver update that I need to make this work properly? I'm unable to find any documentation on this type of webcam which make me nervous since this laptop was purchased directly from HP - I still have my order/invoice number for proof. Any assistance or guidance is greatly appreciated!

@Bridget36 Here's a few things that should help:
- Have you checked to ensure there is disk space available in the drive?
- Do you receive any error when it stops recording?
Let us try the following steps, and check if it helps.
Method 1: Hardware and devices troubleshooter.
Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Camera.
-
Type troubleshooting in the search box on taskbar.
-
Click on Troubleshooting in the search results.
-
Click on Hardware and Sound and select Hardware and Devices and click on Next to run the troubleshooter.
Method 2: You may open store app and check if there are any updates available for camera app. If available, you may install it and check.
And/or you may test the camera for video using the steps mentioned here.
