Product: HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 (2D118AV)

  • Hello, My laptop camera suddenly stopped working. When I open the Camera app, it shows the error code: 0xA00F4244

    Steps I already tried:

    1. Privacy settings for Camera access are turned ON.

    2. In Device Manager, the camera was hidden/grayed out under "Cameras" as "HP TrueVision HD Camera".

    3. I uninstalled the camera driver to reinstall it, but after clicking "Scan for hardware changes", the camera completely disappeared and is no longer detected.

    4. HP Support Assistant shows all drivers and software are up to date.

    How can I restore the camera driver or check if this is a hardware connection issue? Thank you.
