I just received my new (and first) HP laptop yesterday.  This laptop will be used for working at home which requires a significant number of Zoom meetings and I decided to test out the video on my laptop last night...it is awful!  I had a bright overhead light on in the room I was in, the image looked messy...like the edges were fuzzy and there is no sharpness and all over the screen it looks as if there is dust particles vibrating very fast.  I did not clean the camera, and maybe this is the issue, but has anyone else had this issue with the HP TrueVision HD Camera with Digital Microphone?

Also, when I set up the computer in the beginning it did not hear me at all when I tried to use voice commands during the setup and then before I tested my video camera I tested the microphone and it didn't seem to hear me.  However, when I created a short video to test everything the sound was fine if a bit tinny.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

None of that helped at all, the camera drivers don't show up as needing to be updated.  If anything, since the windows update it looks worse.  I don't know how I am supposed to use this camera for my zoom meetings...my old 9 year old Dell laptop takes better video than this.  I am beside myself, this is horrible, I don't have unlimited funds to buy laptops, I trusted that HP would provide a quality product and that a camera labeled as HD would actually provide good videos.  What do I do now???

The message is asking for a case number...I don't have one.
