HP Spectre x360 - 13-4005dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

The image from my laptop's camera: HP Truevision Full HD is very grainy.

Driver version is: 10.0.18362.693.

I tried to look for driver update in here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-spectre-13-4000-x360-convertible-pc/7527520/mode...

but there is none.

Also HP Support Assistant doesn't find any update.

I found drivers here: https://www.driverscape.com/download/hp-truevision-hd

Should I install the most recent one?

And if not, how can I fix the grainy issue?

Thanks,

Yaron

Hi @geffen

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the Webcam issue.

Please try these steps -

1) In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
2) Expand the Imaging Devices.
3) Right-click on the HP Webcam and select Uninstall.
4) Confirm the uninstallation.
5) Restart the computer to reinstall the Webcam driver.

Try updating your computer -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Download and install the BIOS from this link.

@geffen

The drivers are from a 3rd party website, it may or may not work.

Thanks!

Hi Geffen,  I have the same issue as you and MANY others. My HD Truevision driver is 10.0.18362.815 and it hasn't worked in over a year and HP have no update and nothing they offer has ever worked. Please let me know if you get it fixed.
