Got home last night to find that my HP USC-C G5 docking station was not activating my two (2) HP27 monitors which are connected via the display port on the docking station. Everything was working fine in the AM and when I connected directly to the laptop HDMI port it was activating the monitor.

Hi @RWeb66,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might be a connectivity issue with your docking station. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot.
- Check Connections: Ensure that all cables (DisplayPort, power, USB-C, etc.) are securely connected both at the docking station and the monitors.
- Docking Station Power: Make sure the docking station is receiving power and turned on. Sometimes a power cycle (turning off and on) can resolve minor issues.
- Update Drivers: Ensure that your laptop's graphics drivers and docking station firmware are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause display issues.
- Check Display Settings: Sometimes, the display settings might need adjustment. Go to your laptop's display settings and ensure that the correct external displays are detected and enabled.
- Try Different Ports: If possible, try connecting the monitors to different ports on the docking station to see if the issue persists.
- Reset Docking Station: Some docking stations have a reset button or procedure (often involving unplugging power for a few seconds). Check the manual for your docking station model.
- Check for Hardware Issues: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there might be a hardware problem with either the docking station or the monitors themselves. Testing with another device.
These steps should help diagnose and hopefully resolve the issue with your dual monitor setup through the docking station.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
