Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop 15-fb0000 (598V1AV)

I am currently using a HP Victus 15.6,  Windows 11.  I was using 2 external monitors without any issues. One through HDMI and one through USB C with an HDMI/USBc Adapter. After approx. 2 months the 2nd monitor stopped being recognized.  When you plug them in, windows makes the chime that it recognizes it but there are no indications of the 2nd external display in any of the settings.

I've done the preliminary troubleshooting including updating the Nvidia drivers, intel drivers, all windows updates are current, monitor works fine on HDMI, I have tried swapping monitors using the HDMI/USBc adapter and same issue just with the other monitor (which all work using HDMI only).  I have also switched out the USBc hub and tried using  DP instead of HDMI with no luck.   The HDMI port on the laptop shows both monitors when I switch the cords around, but anything plugged into the different USB hubs does not.

There was another post on here back on Jan 3, 2023, by 1badbronco  that had the exact same issues on multiple HP Victus computers. A resolution, that worked, was never posted.
