HP bluetooth mouse x4000b paired to HP ENVY 17-u177cl
The laptop easily recognizes this device and is listed under "devices" in Control Panel. Now, after weeks of regular use, I have the oddest situation.
Continues to recognized this mouse and mouse lights up and scrolls easily on page, but will not "CLICK" or laptop doesn't acknowledge when left side of mouse is clicked anywhere on/off page. Just will not click, yet scrolls easily. Any insight or tips is much appreciated!

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Are you facing this issue only on the web pages? If yes, then I recommend you reset the browser you are using and check if it helps.
If the issue persists on all the applications, then uninstall the mouse driver from device manager and then restart the computer and check.
Here is how it is done.
- Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
- Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
- On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
- When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.
NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
