HP OMEN Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When the camera app is opened the screen is black and when trying to take pictures it comes blank. I have tried to update it and it is on the best driver windows can find. I have restarted it and still doesn't work. A white light turns on next to the built-in camera. The product number of my laptop is N7K66EA#ABU

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Let's uninstall camera device:

  1. Unplug any external USB devices.

  2. In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.

  3. Click the plus sign next to Imaging devices.

  4. Right-click the name of the webcam and select Uninstall.

  5. Click Yes to confirm.

  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer and open the camera app to check.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
