Hello Everyone, I bought my laptop last month and ever since, I get an HP display control notification popup, asking to install HPDC_Service but once I click to download

 I get an error: https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/HP/DC/HPDC_Service_4.7.88.0.exe

Any idea how to update ?

Hi, @FerialK 

 

I'm not familiar with the problem, so I did a google search and it appears that you may need to install this software...

 

It seems to be a newer version than what you were being prompted to update.

  1. Did you recently upgrade to Windows 11 or did the laptop come preinstalled with Windows 11?
  2. If you did upgrade to Windows 11, was the laptop performing well with the previous operating system?
  3. Is your warranty still valid?

Hi, @FerialK either software or hardware the sooner you use your warranty to request for a repair or replacement of the laptop, the better it will be for you.

Their support seems to identify this issue as a complex issue and said it's not categorized as free of charge support and I should pay them in order to fix it!!! It's very disappointing! after a 1.5-hour talk with tech support and software support and going back and forth among several engineers call got disconnected and still haven't received any call! the link to update HPDC_Service_4.7.88.0.exe file is showing the file was not found on this server, and they are claiming it's my issue and not a global issue!!! any other suggestion @Charlieltuah1?!
