Hello everyone,
I have owned this HP envy 13
for nearly 2 years.
Had some water spill on it and the screen connector or screen wire has been damaged(or so I’ve been told by the local computer guy, he wasn’t able to order a replacement part anywhere apparently) so display didn’t work but everything else still worked Fine and I’ve been using it with external monitor via USB-C for about 2 weeks.
Then one day all of sudden when I booted it the external screen won’t connect. I tried all kinds of key shortcuts and tried booting it with a different ssd in it and nothing. It makes a sound in windows like if it has detected a new device and is trying to connect and then makes a fail to connect sound.
Is there anything anyone can suggest to get it to be able to connect via USB c again?
thanks in advance!

@sashapomelo If you've already checked with an alternate cable to connect an external monitor, or if you've got an HDMI port and none of that works as well, it's most likely a hardware malfunction on the system board or the GPU caused due to the water spill, I suggest you check the local tech for damaged components to be on a safer side before investing on replacement parts:
If you have an HP authorized service center near by, you should be able to take it to them and have it checked,
