I have had my HP Envy laptop for a little over 3 years, I have treated it very carefully as I need it for school. Recently when I close the laptop the left and right hinges of the screen are loose, sticking out a bit when the laptop is closed. I could fix this by pushing this back together with little force.

However when I closed my laptop tonight, it made a cracking noise, I looked and the left hinge and the bottom left corner of the screen was popping out. It took a lot of force to fix this and I do not want to open it again, as it simply comes apart. I do not have the money to fix this issue and was wondering if there is any way to fix this without spending tons of money.

Thanks.

Hi @Kitcat78,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to assist you.

I see that there is an issue with the laptop hardware and may need repair.

The support here is limited and this issue might require one-on-one interaction to fix it.
