HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0012nl
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi everyone, I was opening my laptop and suddendly felt a bit of resistance, I went to check the hinges and suddendly realized that the whole screen has detached near the left hinge! I'm not sure how is it even possible, especially in a laptop that should not be cheaply built.

I'm out of the HP builder warranty but, having bought the laptop directly from the hp website, I should still be covered by the hp vendor warranty. I really feel clueless on how to manage such an issue. Hopefully the vendor warranty covers what is an blatant structural problem.

Please check the pictures down below.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

@fedeballini

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I understand your HP notebook hinge is separating from the unit, to fix this issue your computer needs to be repaired. I'm sending out a private message to assist you with the next course of action. Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

With the standard HP limited warranty, you will be covered for the repair or replacement of parts deemed defective. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, screen crack and liquid spillage.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
