Ok so for the past 2 months my laptop display has this weird pink bar thingy that gets worse overtime when using it, it just came up suddenly when I was doing my regular business, it gets this huge horizontal pink bar that covers majority of the entire screen it's annoying and it gets worse when in use.

I have tried:
- uninstalling and updating graphics drivers

- clearing up memory space

- antivirus scans

- hard resetting the laptop

- punching the screen

it just won't stop, I know it's NOT a software or gpu issue since it doesn't turn pink on an external monitor so what typically causes this issue

The display gets pink screen immediately when I turn it on and goes away after like 2 minutes but slowly builds up again while using it, I swear it's slowly getting worse over time, back then it was not an issue cuz it only occured rarely and a simple restart did it, I doubt it's overheating since no matter when I am using ms word or doing some heavy gaming it still does the same thing. The pink bar clears up when I pinch the upper right part of the screen but immediately retains its pink bars. I opened it up myself but the lcd connector thingy doesn't seem to be loose or anything so what could be the problem, I hope it's the cables and not the lcd itself cuz that'd be more of a hassle honestly.IMG_20220709_203437_669.jpg

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ...

In most cases, the plug of the internal display cable has loosened on the screen, i.e. it no longer sits 100% and that leads to such effects. Or in the worse case, some wires of the display cable are broken. In both cases the computer and screen cover has to be disassembled, which can be quite complicated ...

In your case: Service is required !
- The computer should be disassembled and checked.
- [ always recommended ] Thermal paste for CPU GPU and bridges should be renewed
- [ always recommended ] The function of the fan(s) must be checked

- Check internal display cable / check screen

- General cleaning ...

If you can't do that, you should have it serviced by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.
