Hi:

See if uninstalling the power media player software, restarting the PC, and installing this version works...

TITLE: Cyberlink Power DVD

VERSION: 12.0.4.5913 REV: A PASS: 1
DESCRIPTION:
This package provides the Cyberlink PowerDVD application in supported models
that are running a supported operating system.

Before I do that, is anything stored in that program like pictures or videos that would get lost by un-installing that program?
HP Recommended

I wouldn't think so.

It just plays or displays the files.

None should be stored in the program.

You can try leaving it installed and install the PowerDVD12 program but I don't know if that will cause program conflicts.

Ok I'll try and uninstall and reinstall a different version
