Hi there!
I have HP Pavilion g6-2305sh Notebook and I just changed the OS from windows 8.1 to windows 10 Pro.
It resulted that I cannot change the brightness at all. Not by the two adjustment hotkeys on the keyboard nor by the adjustment bar in the windows which does not visible at all. I could not find any possibility for the brightness adjustment in the AMD catalyst control center neither. I tried all the possible solutions that I found on this website or other sources. I tried updating the drivers (display adaptorts and monitor too) via windows update, also tried to install them manually (download the available ones for win 8.1 from HP website) , I tried to install HP collaboration keyboard and I checked if the pnp monitor is allowed in the device menu. None of these solutions have worked.
How is it possible to achieve the brightness adjustment get working? I've attached some print screens.
I would kindly ask your help, thank you Bálint

I recommend you perform a system restore on the computer back to the date when the brightness was working fine.
Follow the step in the below article to perform a system restore.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I recommend you download and install the HP quick launch software from the below link and check if it helps.

If you continue facing the issue, I recommend you download and install HP support assistant from the below link and install all the updates.
Here is how it is done.

Dear The_Fossette!
I tried both of your recommended solutions but none of them seemed to be working. The HP quick launch software does not had any effect on the brightness adjustment and the HP support assistant could not find any available update.
If you have any other idea I would gladly welcome.
Thank you, Bálint

Finally I have managed to solve the issue by reinstalling the windows 10 home version without updates which I had to install manually later in the windows update. Possibly the other versions didn't install the required updates.
However thank you for the advice!
