HP spectre 360 keyboard and touchpad not working

I recently bought this convertible laptop and has been working great but now it won't switch back to laptop mode. I have used action centre to switch it back to laptop mode, when I do that the keyboard and trackpad don't work. 

I have tried restarting, my settings are that the laptop should be in desktop mode when signing in, but as the keyboard and touchpad aren't working I can only sign in with my fingerprint

I reviewed your post and I understand that the keyboard and the touchpad are not working after manually switching to desktop mode.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you install all the Windows updates (Including optional) and check if it helps.

Here is how it is done.

1. Select the Start (Windows) button from the bottom-left corner.
2. Go to settings (gear icon).
3. Select the Update and Security icon.
4. Choose Windows Update tab in the sidebar (Circular arrows)
5. Select Check for updates. If there is an available update, it will begin downloading automatically.
