Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-r0000 (76T05AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello everyone, my Victus 16 computer, which was the biggest mistake of my life, broke down again. When I restart the computer, the screen does not open from time to time, it stays on a black screen, only the fans are running. I try to enter the bios, but it does not enter at all. I reset the laptop and updated the drivers, but this error still occurs from time to time. The light on the computer's power button and the caps lock light are on. The fan is spinning at high speed, but the computer does not turn on. After waiting for a long time, it comes back to normal and turns on. After the fans have been spinning for a certain amount of time, the computer stops working. It shuts itself down.

Hi @YILMAZ13,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your PC!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the laptop and disconnect the charger.
  2. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power and try turning it on.

2. Check for Blink or Beep Codes

  • If the Caps Lock light is blinking or if you hear beeping sounds, count the blinks/beeps.
  • If the power button is solid white but no display, proceed to the next steps.

Refer to this link: click here

3. Try an External Display

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor/TV using HDMI.
  • If the external display works, the issue might be with your laptop’s screen or GPU.

Let me know if any of these steps helped or if the laptop is still stuck on a black screen! 😊

Thanks kenshi, I tried these steps before but I didn't get any results, the computer restarts after waiting for a certain period of time. All I can do now is wait.

Hi @YILMAZ13,

Let's give these steps a try as well:

Run HP’s Built-in Hardware Diagnostics. Press F2 at startup (if it shows anything). This can check motherboard failures.

BIOS Recovery: Since BIOS corruption can cause no-boot issues, try recovering it:

Shut down the laptop.

Press and hold Windows + B, then press the power button.

Release the keys once the system beeps or shows an HP logo.

Check for Loose RAM/GPU Connections. If you can, open the laptop and reseat the RAM. Some Victus models have a dedicated GPU that can be loose or damaged.

Thermal Issue? If the laptop eventually turns on after cooling down, try cleaning the vents, replacing thermal paste, or testing it in a cool environment.

I hope this helps.
