Example: spectre x360

I bought an HP spectre x360 2019 laptop 45 days back. Suddenly the screen has gone half blank. There has been no physical damage. Has anyone faced a similar issue.

Hey there! @CK1983,

Does the issue persist on the BIOS page?

Have you tried checking with an external monitor does the issue persist?

Please share the product number of the PC to assist you better.

If the issue does not persist on the BIOS page try updating the chipset, graphics driver and BIOS on the PC to the latest version.

You can update the drivers on the PC using the HP support assistant.

Refer this article to know more information about using HP support assistant. Click Here

Also, Try restoring the BIOS to default and check if it helps.

1.    Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
2.    Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
3.    On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
4.    Press F10 to Save and Exit.
5.    Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
6.    Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I have now given it to the service center as it is under warranty. But they said the screen has developed a internal leak . is it possible ?

There is no damage on the laptop.

I think the product is not designed properly and is not durable. It is of substandard quality.
