Hello,
I am unable to connect this device to any monitor! The adpater and the monitor work perfectly well with my Dell Latitude, HDMI and my USB-C Adapter.
I've installed the driver for the specific monitor (HP 233), and nothing.
Any advice?
Thanks

Hi @ASVarley,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Cable and Adapter:
- Confirm that the HDMI cable and USB-C adapter are working properly by testing them with another device, as mentioned you've already done with your Dell Latitude.
- Ensure that the adapter is compatible with your HP Envy x360 13.
Update Drivers:
- Update the graphics drivers on your HP Envy x360 13.
- Visit the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page and enter your device model to find and install the latest graphics driver.
Check Display Settings:
- Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
- Scroll down to Multiple displays and click on Detect.
- Ensure the display is set to Extend or Duplicate depending on your preference.
BIOS Update:
- Sometimes updating the BIOS can resolve hardware compatibility issues.
- Visit the HP Support page to download the latest BIOS for your HP Envy x360 13.
Use Windows Key + P:
- Press Windows key + P and select the desired display mode (Duplicate, Extend, etc.) to ensure your device recognizes the external monitor.
Reconnect the Devices:
- Turn off your HP Envy x360 13 and the monitor.
- Unplug the HDMI and USB-C adapter.
- After a few seconds, reconnect everything and turn on the devices.
Try Another Port:
- If your HP Envy x360 13 has multiple USB-C ports, try using a different one to connect the adapter.
Monitor Input Source:
- Double-check that the monitor is set to the correct input source (HDMI).
I hope this helps.
