Hello @sydney6,
Thanks for showing your interest in the HP Forums! I see that you are having issues with half the display being green. I would like to help.
I have provided a couple of documents that should help you out:
- Green Screen and Other Video Playback Issues (Windows 10).
- Updating Drivers and Software with Windows Update (Windows 10, 8).

Thanks for getting back to me @sydney6.
Try booting into safe mode to see if you have the same issue. This will determine if it is a software issue.
If you have an external monitor to try, I would connect it to see if you have the same results. If you do, then it is a hardware issue with the display.
I would run the Hardware test on the Graphics and Video:
Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 10, 8). Go to Opening the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI), then select Component Tests and click Video.
