HI @victus169,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your Victus laptop camera is not detected, and Windows shows the error “We can’t find your camera (0xA00F4244 – NoCamerasAreAttached)” with the camera missing from Device Manager. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check camera status in BIOS
Restart the system and press F10 to enter BIOS.
Make sure Integrated Camera / Webcam is set to Enabled, then save and exit.

Show hidden devices in Device Manager
Open Device Manager → View → Show hidden devices.
Expand Cameras, Imaging devices, and Human Interface Devices to see if the camera is disabled or hidden.

Verify Windows camera privacy settings
Go to Settings → Privacy & security → Camera.
Turn ON Camera access, Let apps access your camera, and Let desktop apps access your camera.

Check required Windows services
Press Win + R → services.msc.
Ensure Windows Camera Frame Server and Human Interface Device Service are running and set to Automatic.

Look for USB or unknown devices
In Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
Check for Unknown USB Device or devices with a warning icon, which may indicate the internal camera is not enumerating.

Reinstall chipset and system drivers
For Victus by HP Laptop, the camera depends on chipset and I/O drivers.
Reinstall the chipset, I/O, and system event utility packages for your exact model and reboot.

Run Windows system repair
Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
Run system file checks to repair corrupted components that can prevent device detection.

Check for recent BIOS or Windows updates
If the issue started after an update, confirm the update completed successfully.
Incomplete firmware or OS updates can cause internal devices like the camera to disappear.

I hope this helps.

Hello Sir thank you for reply. I have followed all the steps you have mentioned and also attach some image. But still no luck Camera.

Here are the step-by-step result -
1. After restarting and going into the BIOS settings I didn't find anything related to camera or webcam I have also attached the photo
2. In device manager after shows hidden devices also didn't see anything camera or imaging device or for the human interface devices I have attached the photo but there was nothing related to camera
3. In setting privacy and securitys the camera was already on for all the services
4. In service.msc the human interface device service was already running on automatic but for windows camera frame service when I started it and put it on the automatic it just starts for 10 second maybe and then goes of again and in the universe serial bus control there was not a non USB drive that is anything related to camera
5. And I have also reinstall all the driver mention

still camera is not working

Hi @victus169,

Thank you for the response.

I understand your Victus laptop camera is still not working and is completely missing from BIOS and Device Manager, even after following all troubleshooting steps and reinstalling drivers. Let’s go through the final checks and explain clearly what this means and what to do next.

Confirm what the results indicate
Since the camera does not appear in BIOS, does not appear in Device Manager (even hidden), and the Windows Camera Frame Server stops automatically, this confirms the camera is not being detected at hardware level.
This rules out Windows settings, drivers, and permissions.

Understand why BIOS is critical here
If a camera is disabled in Windows, it still appears in BIOS or Device Manager.
If it does not appear anywhere, Windows has nothing to load — which means the camera hardware is not communicating with the system.

What the Camera Frame Server behavior means
The Camera Frame Server stopping after a few seconds is expected when no camera hardware is detected.
It is not the cause of the issue, only a symptom.

Common causes on Victus laptops
On Victus models, the internal webcam connects via a thin internal cable near the display hinge.
This issue commonly occurs due to:
• Loose or disconnected camera cable
• Camera module failure
• Display assembly work or physical stress on the hinge
• Manufacturing defect surfacing over time

Why reinstalling drivers will not help further
Drivers can only install if Windows detects hardware.
Since the camera is completely absent, no software-based fix can restore it.

Final confirmation test (optional, if possible)
Connect an external USB webcam to the laptop.
If the external webcam works instantly, this confirms the internal camera hardware has failed.

What needs to be repaired
The fix requires hardware service:
• Reseating or replacing the internal camera cable
• Replacing the camera module (usually part of the display assembly)

Important clarification
This is not a Windows 11 issue, not a driver problem, and not a permissions issue.
It is a hardware detection failure, which is why none of the software steps worked.

Because the camera is missing from BIOS and Device Manager, the internal webcam has either failed or become disconnected. This cannot be fixed through settings or drivers. Hardware repair is required to restore the camera.

Until repaired, the only practical workaround is to use an external USB webcam, which will work normally.

I hope this helps.
