I no its a Frequently asked question but no one has actualy gave a definative answere just stupid unplug this and swap leads that. my laptop has done a update last night before bed, I turn my laptop on dismorning now it wont detect my hdmi lead. ive got 3 cables none of them work but all 3 works in my xbox one so i no it aint the cables, i cant find anything todo in the settings with hdmi or output connections when the cables plugged in. Ive searched all over the internet for a solution but every solution everyone has posted doesnt work. its gettin realy frustrating specialy when u pay alot of money for the laptop and it wont work.

Have you tried reinstalling the graphics driver from HP support site (Intel):
or the driver from Intel for your processor:
