Hi! @Lo5, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand you have HDMI port on your PC has stopped functioning on your PC.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

Have you tried checking with a different HDMI cable?

Try connecting the TV to a different HDMI port and check if the issue persists.

Also, connect the TV to a different PC and check if you are able to see the display.

Try restoring the BIOS to default and check if it helps.

1.    Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
2.    Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
3.    On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
4.    Press F10 to Save and Exit.
5.    Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
6.    Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

I  chose the link to update the graphic drivers the process starts then I receive this error messag. NVIDA installer cannot continue. The graphics driver could not find compatible hardware. What does this mean? Is my HDMI Port broke?

@Lo5, Thanks for your prompt response and time.

I appreciate your efforts for writing back to us.

As you mentioned you have issues installing the graphics driver on your PC.

I have checked the specifications of your laptop and your laptop was shipped with only Intel graphics.

So when you install the NVIDIA drivers you are getting that error.

However, Please update the Intel graphics driver using this link. Click Here

After the driver is downloaded install the softpaq using the compatibility mode.

Right-click on the file and select Properties. You can do this from the app's shortcut or by navigating in File Browser to the EXE file

Select the Compatibility tab, then check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"

Select Windows 8 to use for your app's settings in the drop-down box.

Hit Apply, then run your app and see if this fixed your issues.

If the issue still persists after installing the graphics driver it is a hardware issue with your PC.

Hope this helps!

Take Care! 🙂
