Yesterday, white horizontal lines have started to appear on my display screen. I checked that it does not show when I hook it up to an external monitor. In BIOS however, the white lines still appear. I heard that the issue may be due to the LCD cable? I've tried other solutions such as pressing against different areas of the screen to see if it'll go away and it didn't. Could someone help me? I don't know how to really open up my laptop and etc and I don't want to go out and get it fixed. Any assistance and guidance will be appreciated!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting the horizontal line on the display.
As you have mentioned that the issue doesn’t occur on an external screen and you are able to duplicate the issue on the BIOS screen, it confirms a hardware issue.
I recommend you contact support and they will assist you in this regard.
Here is how you can get in touch with support.
1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
