HP 14-dq0000 Laptop PC (56Z60AV)

I am trying to have multiple monitors connected to my HP 14-dq0xxx laptop - there is an HDMI port, USB-C port and USB ports. (USB-C will not display, I've gone through tech support to confirm.)

How is everyone using multiple monitors?

What is your HP 14-dq0000 Laptop PC (56Z60AV)  machine ? It could be one of the following over 30 machines

                   https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/product-specs/hp-14-d0000-laptop-pc-series/model/2101047572

They all have 1 hopeless USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only-total 3), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter
