it's really annoying when I watch movies or images, I could not find anything to disable it in the settings.

Hi:

 

The enable/disable adaptive brightness setting is in the advanced power settings menu in the control panel.

my settings windows is not like in the guide, under the Display option i can find only  "turn off display after" but there is no sign of the other options including adaptive brightness.
