HP ENVY x360 13-ag0006nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys! I need to connect 2 monitors to my HP ENVY x360 13-ag0006nl (AMD Ryzen 5 2500U and AMD Radeon Vega 😎. I live in Italy and as you might know we're having some serious problems due this "pandemia" so I was sent to work at home and I'd like to use a dual monitor configuration as I do at the office. I already have a monitor but before I purchase another one, I'd like to know if any of you is already using this setting and what kind of adapter/hub/device you're using in order to get a extender desktop view using your HP ENVY x360 and two monitors.

Thank you for your help and take care!!!

Looks like you have to use one of  2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports (USB-A connectors). If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors, please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few options on market today including some HP products:

Hello Banhien

My name is Marco and I have a similar question about connecting a second monitor to my laptop (actually this thing is driving me a bit nuts because finding an answer is becoming extremely confusing...) and I think you might be the right person to ask.

My laptop is an HP 15s-fq0898no bought in Denmark where I live.

On a flyer, HP states that a second monitor can be connected via the USB-C port.

I would like to connect a second HDMI to my PC, using the USB-C port rather than a USB-A port if possible.

The huge doubt is about the port supporting Display Port Alternate Mode, which I don't even know how to check if my USB-C port does.

So my questions are:

1) How can I check if my USB-C port supports Display Port Alternate Mode?

2) Can I use any USB-C to HDMI adapter or docking station without the USB-C supporting the Display Port Alternate Mode?

3) If no USB-C option is available for point 2), shall I then use a USB-A to HDMI alternative?

4) Do I understand correctly that these adapters (either USB-C or USB-A) to HDMI have an external graphic card embedded?

I think that receiving answers to these questions would help me selecting a proper docking station or adapter from the lists you sent to Sebastian.

Otherwise if you can point at some of them specifically I would be also grateful for that.

Thank you very much for your time and attention.

Best regards

Marco
