How do I minimize the "black" edge margins on my monitor?

The Display has 1 inch "black" margins on the monitor screen. How do I make the display extend to the edges of the monitor?

Are you talking about videos and/or webpages ... ? Some videos have format with ratio is not the same as your monitor. You can use software player to stretch videos to full screen but you may loose some contents.

Thank you for responding to my question! I'm not talking about videos -- just the whole Windows screen -- the one that shows my Icons for programs and folders etc. The screen that shows up when booting up. the screen does not fill up my monitor -- leaving black edges where the screen does not stretch to the edge.
