How do I play DVD with DVD Writer in Windows 10

My laptop isHP ENVY X360 touchsmart  purchased from Best Buy in 2014. I have Windows 10 installed. BUt there is no  Windows Media Player. Best Buy suggested an external DVD writer, which I bought. This is LG PortableDVD Writer ModelSP 60NB 50.  but I understand that Windows 10 does not have Media Player or Media Center. My question is how do I play Music or DVD or Rip Music? Also how do I run Software CD to install HP Printer

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

I read your post about needing to play DVDs in Win10 and wanted to help.

Personally, I have used and strongly recommend VLC media player.

As to installing software, just load the CD into the DVD Write and it should start right up.
