How do I play a movie DVD on the USB External DVDRW Drive Model gp70N on my (new) laptop? After the device is registered it asks for actions to take and just leads me to the app store, but I don't know what (if any) app to get. I have Windows 10 Pro, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQCPU @ 2.6GHz. I looked at another message board that recommended putting VLC on, which I did, but it tells me that it doesn't see anything. I am not a computer-saavy person, so...

Insert movie DVD
Open VLC player
Open the Media menu
Select Open Disc menu item
In the Open Disc dialog box, select the type of media (here: DVD)
You can browse and select the external DVD drive letter, if it is not already selected
Click Play.
