HP Envy 13 2017
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

So I've had this laptop for a while now, and am not 100% satisfied with the battery life. I was planning to get the HP Envy 13 x360 now with the AMD 4700U, but that's not in stock anywhere I can get it from, so I'll try to make the most of my current laptop.

Now when I bought this laptop, I didn't even know it would be 120Hz, never saw that number in any of the specs - in-store or on the HP website. It was a nice surprise.

I was wondering how much extra battery I would get with the refresh rate turned down to 60Hz, but the option is not available to me. In the dropdown for refresh rate, I only see 120hz.

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the GPU drivers. I was temporarily switched to 64Hz without Intel drivers, however, after they were installed I cannot see the 60hz option.

Thank you in advance.

@lakimens

You've answered your own question -- since this is controlled by the video drivers, if the option is not shown, you can't change the refresh rate.  Simple as that.
