OK, this should be wasy but apparently not. How in the heck do I turn off the trackpad on my new HP Stream? I've pulled up the Touchpad Settings and the only option I see is changing the Delay (none, short, medium, long). But how do I turn it off completely. I use this thing for word pretty much, and I mouse it, but with this **bleep** trackpad on I'll be typing away and then in a flurish of typing I'll wipe everything out by accdent and I want to toss this out the window. There's GOT to be an easy and FAST way to turn off the track pad... Control plus something...fn plus something... windows logo plus something. HELP!

Hi @TerryShad,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.
I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know how to disable the touchpad on your computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
Please follow below steps to disable the touchpad.
1. Click the Windows "Start" button and type "mouse" in the Search field.
2. Click "Mouse" to open the Mouse Properties window.
3. Click the "Device Settings" tab and click "Disable" If a confirmation message
pops up, click "OK."
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

That does not work. I opened "Mouse Properties" window and the only tabs at the top of the windo were:
-Buttons
-Pointers
-Pointer Options
-Wheel
-Hardware
There was no "Devise Settings" tab so no way for me to "Disable" anything.
Any other suggestions as I'm so disappointed that HP has a laptop where you apparently can't turn off the touchpad.
